IT Technical Sales Apprenticeship – Reference Number: ST0115
Who is it for?
The primary role of an IT Technical Salesperson is to sell a company’s technical products and services. They need a good knowledge and understanding of the portfolio of technologies that are available. They work to maintain good relationships with existing clients, gaining repeat business wherever possible from customers both internal and external, UK or internationally. They also approach potential customers with the aim of winning new business. They maintain a thorough understanding of existing technologies and those that are emerging.

The duration of this apprenticeship is typically 12-18 months.
Entry requirements will be determined by individual employers. Those who are unsure should contact the team directly on 01865 515 255, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement the apprenticeships English and maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3 and British Sign Language qualification are an alternative to English qualifications for whom this is their primary language.
This apprenticeship standard is at Level 3, similar to A-Levels.
This apprenticeship is recognised for entry on to the Register of IT Technicians and those completing their apprenticeships are eligible to apply for registration.
